WHAT IS A RAINBOW CRONE?
What do you do when presented with a magnificent rainbow? Many become indifferent, simply drive in their cars and ignore the spectrum of colors. Others may actually pull over to the side of the road to admire. The aging process is much the same. Some begin to few the world and beauty as “been there done that.” They may become bitter and bored as they grow old. Others never let go of their inner child and stay forever in wonder. A child sees this right away, and will be drawn to the Rainbow Crone as if a kindred spirit.

There is old. And there is “Rainbow Crone.” The difference lies in attitude. Wrinkles of the face are the hieroglyphics of experience and with them come great wisdom. One can choose to look at wrinkles as locus plagues upon a thriving flower meadow. Or one can look at age as an Egyptian urn, a bit chipped, but mystically intriguing. Every experience places a mark of wisdom on the face. Rainbow Crones embrace joy, laughter, music, dancing, creating. Free as children once again, rainbow crones can become exceptional readers as their hormones no longer control their moods of personal projection.
RAINBOW CRONE
- What a Rainbow Crone looks like is her own business. This means that if she wishes surgery or not, is her freedom of choice. She is not less spiritual if she works out, chooses not to go grey, or has facial surgery.
- Rainbow Crone realizes that to honor herself, she chooses joy and mental health, over the standards of some spiritual liberated women who believe “change of the natural” is shallow.
- Rainbow Crone is not bitter of young beautiful women. She is self confident. She realizes that after years of living life, she chooses to do things her own way if it hurts no one. When one sees Goldie Hawn it is impossible to believe that such joy can exist in one person.
- Rainbow Crones realize that friendships are golden, and that to mingle and be involved with like minded women, can replace the need for a partner. Age brings acceptance that one can finally relax.
- Rainbow Crones can choose to be cave sabbaticals, business owners, or care givers. It’s all good.
- Rainbow Crones can be proud of their wisdom, and not hide their years of experience.
What matters is that the Rainbow Crone be proud of whom she is, and REFUSE to bow to the image of old and wasted. This can be her finest hour of self empowerment. It is her choice of how she will live, love and honor.
GOLDIE HAWN
When asked on a recent TV show what the secret to health, aging and staying young was, 67 year old Goldie Hawn pointed out that despite what vitamins taken, it was the ability to be joyful that kept a young body and mind. The body mimics the emotional attitude.
BETTY WHITE
No one can deny that Betty White has completely changed the view of being 90. Her zest for life transcends stereotypes of age, and charms with her ability to laugh and be laughed at. At a banquet in her honor an actress said teasingly “I would expand on the beauty and talents of Betty White, ….but she would not remember them tomorrow anyway.”
In answer to this, Betty sitting in a beautiful dress next to a friend, smiled into the camera, “The secret to aging is a glass of wine a day.” To which the waiter delivers to Betty and her girlfriend, each, a wine goblet bigger then their heads.
