How many of you reading this blog could use more money in your life right now?
I recently read a blog (posted at www.finincailintimacy.com) on money and intuition where a story was shared about a female artist and her husband. The woman was a great artist whose work was very much in demand. She allowed her husband to manage the money because her husband had convinced her long ago that due of her intuitive ability she could not handle money since in his opinion money and intuition did not mix.
This poor creative woman has turned over her personal power to her husband! She had completely given up who she is at eh soul level, by allowing someone else take control over the financial rewards of her intuitive creations. By not following through financially to complete the energetic circle of her creations, bringing them full circle, she lost her empowerment because she chose to ignore or was cajoled out of managing her money and reinvesting it where she saw fit. Her creative energies is her intuition shining its light brightly. By handing over the results of her creative force, she greatly diminished her connection with the energy of money. Managing your money takes intuitive skills along with practical common sense.
The female artist was also programmed by her husband on many levels. She was subconsciously told you are not good enough, you don’t have a voice, and you don’t have the ability to function in this world on a mundane level. He sought to dominate her by controlling her mind with his BS (Belief System) which he then projected onto her. He definitely wanted to control her along with the finances or perhaps in his mind, he felt he was protecting her. Anytime we choose to take away someone’s ability to function independently in the world we are looking out for ourselves not the person we supposedly want to help.
I actually witnessed a similar experience of husband control recently. A group of PTA moms from the elementary school our kids attended got together for a reunion. We watched a movie entitled “Dirty Little Things” which is quite enjoyable and interesting in case you are looking for a good movie to watch. The movie was over about 11:30 PM and one of the ladies whose “baby” is now 16 years old jumped up and said “my hubby said I have to be home by midnight”. All of us looked at her with amazement and stifled the comments that were trying to escape from our mouths. However she left within 5 minutes of her announcement to take the 5 minute drive home in order to meet her curfew. Did I mention she is 56 years old? Now I am not talking about any ordinary woman. These women have husbands with flourishing professional careers and the same for themselves. Even the woman who had to hurry home owned 2 businesses in the area. Her husband was controlling her and now allowing her to follow her intuition and come home when she felt it was time to leave.
I am a certified teacher for classes created by Orin and Daben (Sanaya Roman and Duane Packer). They believe that Intuition is knowing without words, sensing the truth without explanations. It operates beyond time and space and is a link to your higher self. Intuition knows that past, present, and future are simultaneous, and can see the whole of any event. It often speaks to you as the playful child that would lure you away from a harder path to a more joyful one. Your intuition is always leading you toward aliveness and joy, and out of stuck places. Your intuitive mind synthesizes information in a flash, giving you answers to problems and decisions. It shows you the most effective steps to take to achieve your goals and dreams.
Often intuition comes to you as fleeting feelings, thoughts, or sensations that you barely notice until later, when you look back and think, “Yes, I had a feeling to do this, or not to do that.” It I possible make these intuitive feelings more visible, so that you notice them and can act upon them. You can learn to distinguish between the quiet voice of your intuition that is showing you a good choice or direction, versus the often louder voice of your fears, ego, and doubts that want to stop you from doing new things and taking risks.
News flash! You are already intuitive, and are probably receiving intuitive guidance in many ways. Your body may be speaking to you, giving you hints of the healthy and healing foods it would like to eat. Your emotions may be speaking to you, telling you to follow your heart, take a risk, and do something you love in some area of your life. Your mind may be speaking to you, bringing you intuitive messages and dropping new ideas into your head. Your spiritual intuition may be guiding you to explore new inner places and to try out new spiritual practices.
So what is money?
Money as you know is the medium of exchange we currently use here on earth. But what is money really? Take out a dollar bill and look at it. What is it? It is just pieces of fiber weaved into a colored piece of paper with numbers, letters and symbols on it. What makes it so powerful? The energy that we give to that piece of paper.
Now the paper just like everything else in the multiverse is composed of energy. Money is just a symbolic representation of energy. Money allows us to see how energy is flowing in our lives. Shatki Gwain says when we follow the flow of energy and taking the steps that feel right to us, money will flow in our lives in an appropriate amount to take care of our daily responsibilities and do the things we need to do. Sometimes it means paying attention to the voce that says “no” being whispered in our ear even though externally the idea or proposal may seem as if it will be the answer to all of our prayers. Case in point Barry and Julie we married but living in different areas. Both had high-powered lucrative careers. However their dream was to build a dream home in Northern California. They had identified the area and each time they went to the realtors to sign the contract something always got in the way. The car broke down, Barry became acutely ill and rushed to the hospital and the last time Julie actually got lost going to the title office and then once there became so ill she could not go through with signing the papers. They talked and mutually agreed to hold off on buying the property for a while. Three weeks later one of the larger earthquakes in Northern California occurred and destroyed the area they were looking to buy. Had they not paid attention and pushed through all the obstacles they would have lost a large sum of money as they did not have the intention to buy the expensive earthquake insurance.
So why follow your Intuition?
Your intuition guides you to do new things, to be in the flow, to experience more grace and ease, to follow your heart, and guides you to be in the right place at the right time. It is the voice of your soul and higher self communicating with you to show you how to follow your higher path and to live your higher purpose.
Following your intuition leads you to taking good care of yourself, your health, and your emotions, and to having improved relationships with people. It can make your career, creative endeavors, and work life better. Following your intuition can increase the flow of money and prosperity in your life, for as your internal guide and teacher, it is always showing you what to do to increase the flow of energy. Money is one symbol of energy flow in your life, and as you act upon your intuitive guidance, you can experience more aliveness and flow in all areas.
When you follow your intuition, your energy flow upticks and – you are in the flow, you feel alive! When you don’t follow your intuition, life can become a struggle, like swimming against the tide. You can train your intellect to listen to your intuitive knowingness, and learn not to ignore, discount, or contradict the intuitive feelings you are getting. You can trust your own inner knowingness, and make yourself the authority of what is right for you.
What is your Intuition telling you now?
Think of these areas of your life and ask yourself, “Is there some intuition I have, some feeling of something I need to do, or stop doing?” If there is, let that become more visible to you now, or in the following few days, to show you how to be on a higher path in these areas:
- My body, health, and physical well-being
- My career, job, and daily activities
- My relationships with my family, friends, co-workers, and others
- My relationship to money, prosperity, financial independence
- Spiritual Growth – what is next for me?
As you review each area, notice if one stands out for you. Ask yourself if there is something you are considering changing. Ask for the intention of your inner guidance to become clearer to you, so that you can recognize what it is showing you.
