SkyeWatch AstroAlert for Friday, April 6th… we have a Full Moon in Libra ~ the first of five Supermoons this year!

So… today, we have the extra potent Libra Full Moon.  This is the first of five Supermoons we’ll experience this year.  A Super Moon occurs when the Moon is both at perigee, the point in its orbit closest to Earth, and syzygy, when it’s in line with the Sun and Earth.  This greatly intensifies the energy of this particular Full Moon – and we can expect our emotions in love relationships to be forceful!    And if you know your birth chart, this Full Moon will be activating 17 degrees of Aries and Libra, so any planets or sensitive points, and what they represent, at or near those degrees will be in a direct floodlight for you now.  But for all of us, the Full Moon will be focusing powerful light and attention on the area in our charts/lives where it falls.

  Also, the love planet Venus is active and strong in this Full Moon, as well as responsible Saturn and warrior Mars.  That means that balance between our emotional/love needs and those of our partners, personal, marriage or business, could be delicate or complicated – and will likely have our attention and probably need to be dealt with in some way.  It will be essential, if tricky, to honor our own Self and still compromise in honor of another, or others.

  Know, that this SuperFull Moon can also bring culmination and celebration to at least one significant and serious relationship – or take it to a point of conclusion and culmination.  The next couple of weeks can be quite juicy!   And in this week’s audio Weekly SkyeWatch, I’ll be talking about how this SuperMoon could be affecting each sign.  Look for it to be posted by Sunday afternoon.  You’ll find the link to “Listen Here” on my website at www.skyemackenna.com.

SkyeWatch AstroAlert for Thursday, April 5th…Watch for choppy waters or confusion today! Walk gently!

The Moon enters sociable Libra this morning where she’ll remain for the next couple of days – and this morning does have some nice social/business/financial possibilities as she dances with Venus.   However – and this is a Very Big However – later in the afternoon, she’ll face off with Uranus and then square off with intense Pluto.  These aspects definitely warrant watchfulness!

And flavoring the entire day (and probably spilling over into tomorrow), Venus squares off with illusive Neptune.  Venus and Neptune in this aspect of conflict can add confusion and delusion to matters of the heart and/or delicate financial connections.   We probably shouldn’t commit to anything for these couple of days if we’re unsure at all!

We’re also in the shadow of tomorrow’s powerful Libra Full Moon.  This is the first of five Supermoons this year, and will most certainly affect relationships, creativity, and finances…but more about that in tomorrow’s SkyeWatch!

 

So, basically, this is a day to tread softly and carefully – and watch our steps – especially our personal and financial interactions!  Heads up!

SkyeWatch AstroAlert! Mercury FINALLY turns direct today! Prepare for Full Speed Ahead!

Early Wenesday morning,  around 3am pacific time actually – Mercury stopped and stood still in the sky.  He’s preparing to come out of his foggy sleep, stretching his legs and dusting off the cobwebs that have been collecting over the last three or four weeks.  It’s been a tough retrograde this time for a lot of folks.  And it sure has seemed longer than just three weeks to ME!  But at long last, clarity and movement can begin happening again.  I am SO ready ~ and I just have to bet YOU are, too! Keeping in mind that Mars is also still retrograde, things aren’t quite ready to blast forward.  Mars moves forward the evening of Friday, the 13th of April.  And THAT’S when thing might move forward with a bang… but more about that one in an upcoming SkyeWatch! For now, we should all be gently standing and stretching our own legs (mental and physical), taking a look at and getting ready to put into action all those things we’ve been re-considering and re-evaluating for the past few weeks.  And we should also anticipate that there could be a brief resurgence of difficulties as All-Things-Mercury-Retrograde become emphasized and reenergized for a short time as he stands up and stands still today.

SkyeWatch Astrology Daily Post for April 3 ~ Love and Venus two-step into Gemini today ~and for an extra long time!

From now until August 7th Venus travels through talkative, communicative Gemini.  She usually only stay with a sign for about one month, but due to her approaching six-week retrograde cycle from May 15th to June 27th, she’ll be in fun, delectable Gemini for about four months!  Look out for a playfully engaging and flirtatious summer!

Watch for relationships, finances, communications, art and creativity to filled with variety, rapid movement and an extra dash of light spice.  Just don’t look for too much in the way of the deep philosophical and/or the profound.  This will be a chatty time – and we’ll be looking for relationships that “speak” to us!  And it’s not just how we talk with others, but especially how we listen as well.  These couple months will also be a great and natural time to network with others.  Connections will come easily if we’re looking for them.  And it’s a time of writing, reading, teaching and learning. 

Exchanging information will come easily.  One caveat will be for us to be alert to any possible shallowness or manipulation – in us or around us.  But overall, this can be a scrumptious time of curiosity and fun attraction.  So get out there and enjoy the easy-going-ness of it all.  Be curious, charming, gracious – and enjoy the fresh delicious energy that’s just arriving!

SkyeWatch Astrology Daily Post for Monday April 2nd: Mercury Rx Alert!

We’re all getting ready for the change by Mercury from retrograde to direct early on Wednesday April 4th.  The Messenger of the God’s is turning direct at 23degrees of Pisces – so  any planets or sensitive points in our birth charts will be especially affected now. 

 

There could be some extreme confusion and/or mental miscommunications over these last few days before this punchy Mercury Retrograde officially ends on the 4th.  When Mercury, or any retrograde planet for that matter, moves from apparent backward to forward motion he’ll first appear to stand still in the sky, called a “direct station,” and everything he stands for will be emphasized.  In this case, communication, technology and transportation issues in particular. 

 

So until he leaves his “retrograde shadow” period after another couple of weeks, we’ll want to wake slowly, like he’ll be doing, if we can!  Shake off the communication cobwebs, travel cautiously, remain flexible in our scheduling, and be alert to just a smidgen more of misunderstandings!
