Kate Armstrong, Urban Forager, talks about finding food in the city - edible 'weeds', forgotten fruits, and plant medicinals for everyday use. Her connection to growing up on a farm, feeling connected to the Earth, and opening to 'All Her Relations' enhances her abilities and knowledge.
She is very interested in urban organics, sustainability in the city, gleaning, gathering and urban foraging. There are many people living in the country who still have the skills and the means to sustain themselves; whereas urban centers can be a ‘food desert’. I am called to help out here. Maybe my various degrees in English/teaching, Psychology, and Energy Healing will come in handy as well. I’m sure being able to communicate with plants, animals and the Powers That Be is also handy and essential to my skill sets. All of this makes my life a bit of a surprise to me as I never know how it’s going to combine for tomorrow.
Kate also loves to travel, and incorporates edible plant walks into her trips when ever possible, both teaching others and learning herself. Having grown up in the Northeast and also lived in the southwest for several decades, she is familiar with both localities and their most familiar plants.

Jennifer Masters is the "Get Your Juice Back" Women's Guide, helping women who are fatigued, drained, and uninspired, perhaps suffering from health imbalances and relationship difficulties--she offers workshops and programs that heal, empower, and connect these women, so they can transform themselves back into juicy women.
