Angela
Kann has dedicated the majority of her life to the study and practice
of herbal medicine. Born into a family of herbalist and healers,
she was raised on an organic farm. Her great grandmother was a
mid-wife and herbalist: her great grandfather, a hands-on healer.
Angela grew to know many Native American healers, and at the age
of seventeen, began studying with Bob Sundown on the medicinal
uses of Arizona Plants, and her education has continued from there.
She attended Southwest Institute of Healing Arts, Reevis Mountain
School and The Rocky Mountain School of Botanical Studies, which
led her into internships all over the world to study under the
tutorage of many famous herbalists and healers. Most recently,
she worked with the Tonjee tribe in Costa Rica. Angela's herbal
company, Earth Remedies, has been in business since 1998. She
founded and operated the Herbal Hideaway and Wellness Center from
2004-2006 and has educated hundreds of college students in and
around the Phoenix valley. She created and developed a natural
skin care line for Radiance Med Spas in 2006. She also a produces
a wide variety of custom formulas and extracts used by numerous
local Naturopathic Physicians.
Angela recently founded the Alternative Medicine
Conference and is opening The Herbal Hideaway & Café
in Phoenix during 2007.
