Anyone who has anything to do with sports knows the name Jim Murray. He was a Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist for the Los Angeles Times and helped create Sports Illustrated. In fact, my father and I were talking about him the other night and he said "He was the Walter Cronkite of sports." It's true. Jim was funny, lovable, human and on the mark.

We're proud to welcome Linda McCoy-Murray to the show on August 20th, as we salute the 10 year anniversary of the Jim Murray Memorial Foundation that she founded and of which she is president. The widow of Jim Murray, Linda hands out thousands of dollars in scholarships every year to journalism students in universities across the United States through the foundation.

A sports nut in her own right, we'll talk basketball, baseball, golf and more... including the future of print journalism and the life of Jim Murray.
