I've asked Joy to help me tell my story so the listeners can hear from her lips about my ups and downs, my highs and lows and my commitment to doing what it takes to continue to grow as a person, physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

Dr. Gina L. Moore-Sanders, Ph.D.
,
Dr. Gina L. Moore-Sanders has a Ph.D. in molecular genetics from the University of California, at San Diego and a M.S. from San Diego State University. Her graduate and post-doctoral studies have focused on cardiovascular research where she has several publications.
In 2008, she was horrified to see many other women like herself suffering from mental anguish posting their mental angst online only to be ridiculed and humiliated! In fact, while she searched for safe zones expressing her own issue where she encountered racism among the posters! She chose to not engage in justifying her cultural identity online! Rather than lament about when a website would be available for women like her, Dr. Moore-Sanders concluded that it would be best to found Ariafya LLC for women of color who suffer dearly by extending a "life line" and a "place of refuge" for mental relief. From her deacon board training at Christ United Presbyterian Church in San Diego, California and Madrona Presbyterian Church in Seattle, Washington, she was taught how to be of "empathy and devoid of judgment" in order to help others in pain.

I think many people feel sympathy for someone living with a mental health disorder especially someone who decides that death by suicide is their only option. Personally, I feel that God and the angels are waiting even before their death to accept this person who just couldn?t take a life filled with pain any longer. As someone who considered death by suicide I get it. What people might not see is how the family, friends and loved ones are dealing with this. We talked about this on my last show and will talk about it again with the Gallagher family. Today my guests are Kristen and Katelyn, John?s children and his wife Patricia. The Gallagher family speaks out about depression and how it affected their family when John Gallagher jumped from a building in an attempt to end his life.

What we offer you is a place where you can speak freely to a listening ear about your children's experiences, your frustrations with labels such as ADHD, ADD, austistic and other DSM labels, as well as your joys and concerns. If your child is afraid to go to sleep at night because of what is seen or if your child refuses to enter certain areas of your home or other places you might visit, we can help. Karen Muranko, Anxiety Wellness Mentor
Show replays on Jul 12 - No call-ins please
,
This week I will be sharing more of my story about living with Panic Disorder and my six year journey of recovery. By sharing my story I hope that just one listener is encouraged to Take Charge of Their Mental Health and begin their own journey of recovery
It is my belief that when a person finds their own team, techniques and proper therapy that they too can achieve mental wellness and peace of mind.
Michael Price has led an interestingly varied and inspiring life. He has enjoyed the benefits and experiences of several separate and diverse careers, each of which presented its own set of extreme challenges including: Professional Baseball Player, College Baseball Coach, Police Officer, Insurance Fraud Investigator, Private Investigator and Trainer / Teacher / Consultant
In each profession, Michael was the one that others came to for direction and advice. Early on, he discovered that he possessed the unique ability to identify the core issues of the vast majority of the situations people presented to him.
Over time this skill, coupled with his own personal drive to live up to his highest potential, led Michael to the development of ?The Courage of Fearless Thinking.?
HOW ?THE COURAGE OF FEARLESS THINKING? BEGAN. The seeds of ?The Courage of Fearless Thinking? program took root when Michael was in high school. Over many years of hardship, experience, and study, those seeds began to germinate. During that time, Michael often worked with individuals endowed with very large egos, yet still did not live up to their potential. These were people who had terrific physical and mental talents yet strove to blame others for their own lack of achievement. They could have, and most definitely should have been leaders, but instead, were apathetic or to the extreme, bullies.
Tammi L. Morgan is the author of the book Emerging Butterfly: Finding Life Beyond Anxiety Disorders due to be released this summer of 2008. She writes from her own experiences as a fellow anxiety survivor of over twenty years. Because of her personal background with Agoraphobia and panic attacks she desires to reach out to others with anxiety disorders and let them know they are not alone and that hope and help is available. Most importantly she wants to encourage others to reach beneath the layers of anxiety and find again, or maybe for the first time, the unique and special person they are within. Her adage: ?Anxiety is not who you are, it?s what you have?.

She believes that the health of individuals, communities, and our planet can all be improved with common sense and respect for nature's simple and elegant wisdom. She believes in an intelligent, conscious and interactive world in which everything communicates for the purpose of a greater good and collective health. This means our own bodies can talk to us.
